Russian submarine Rostov-on-Don is near the Syrian coast. However, there are no official comments as movements of military objects are kept in secret.

It is very difficult to determine the submarine location. The Ministry of Defense of Russia does not deny that it has approached the Syrian coast, however, it did not confirm the information. All the details must be kept in secret to protect the submarine’s team.
The sub is equipped with a new Caliber land attack cruise missile complex. Similar missiles have been already launched at the Islamic State group, a terrorist organization banned in Russia and other countries.
Some resources said that approaching Syria, the Russian submarine fired some shots at Islamists. The terrorists’ training camps, warehouses with weapons and ammunition as well as the ISIS headquarters were blasted. Russia’s ministry did not provide any comments.
