The eighth place among the most highly paid sportswomen belongs to tennis player Caroline Wozniacki with her income for 2016 at $990,000 or $3,900 per day. She is the former first racket of the world in singles, winner of 27 WTA tournaments (25 of them singles), one junior Grand Slam singles tournament (Wimbledon 2006) and other.
Tennis player Serena Williams is on the ninth place of this rating. Over the past year, her income reached $880,000 or $3,400 per day. The sportswoman has the title of four-time Olympic champion in singles and women's doubles.
Williams is considered to be the only one among men and women who owns the "career gold helmet" (the title is given for wins in all four Grand Slam tournaments and at the Olympic Games).
