During the Winter Olympic Games alone, 382,000 foreign guests visited the city. Last year’s most popular tourist attractions were the Forbidden City, the Great Wall of China, the Temple of Heaven, and the Summer Palace. Owing to tourism, Beijing's city treasury expanded by more than $32 billion in 2022.

3. Orlando

Orlando remains the most popular American city among travelers. It is home to over a dozen theme parks, with Walt Disney World being the most popular of them all. It attracts some 38,000 people every day. Last year, as many as 74 million tourists visited Orlando, which is almost in line with the pre-pandemic level, and the city earned more than $31 billion.

4. Shanghai

China’s decision to abandon the zero-Covid policy in 2022 brought Shanghai’s tourism industry to life. Since the end of last year, the city has seen a surge in the flow of tourists. For such a short span, the city has earned about $30 billion. The most popular tourist attractions in Shanghai are the Bund, Jin Mao Tower, Sheshan Mountain, and the Zhujiajiao water town.

5. Las Vegas

This American city is rightfully a global capital of gambling. Las Vegas is home to countless casinos and entertainment venues. This is what attracts tourists to the city. Last year, almost 39 million people traveled to Las Vegas, a level unseen since before the pandemic. Thanks to an increase in the flow of tourists, the city made about $23 billion.
