In the night to Monday, September 5, due to huge forest fire, over 300 people were evacuated from Valencia, an autonomous community of Spain.
The fire broke out in Benitachell, Alicante, where around 5,500 people reside. Local authorities decided to evacuate 330 people, whose houses were or could be damaged by fire.
The fires were burning in the Natural Park La Granadella. Low humidity and winds hamper attempts to tackle the fire. Last weekend, temperature was +43C.
Near the Costa Blanca resorts, over 1,000 tourists and locals were evacuated as there was a chance the fire would spread to this area.
Fire caused damages in the city of Javea and near popular resort Benidorm. Authorities strive hard to stop the fire.
A lot of firefighters and planes were deployed to battle the forest blaze.
