On Tuesday, the first test drive of an unusual transport, a straddling bus, took place in China. The main part of this bus rises above the earth by 2 meters, which allows cars to move under it easily.

According to Chinese authorities, the main purpose of this public transport is to decrease traffic jams on the roads of megalopolises.
The size of TEB-1 is really exciting: with width of a few meters, the bus provides two traffic lanes for the cars going under it.

Specialized rails have been constructed for TEB-1 which are installed on both sides of a road. The length of this fascinating transport is 22 meters, the width is 7.8 meters, and the height is 4.8 meters.

The capacity of the bus is much more than car owners can imagine. It can transport up to 300 people, with 55 being able to sit.
